Dale was born August 6, 1933, to parents John K. Roney and Alta Mae (Haynes) Roney. He was self-employed, and had been in the fruit and produce business since age 14.
He is preceded in death by both parents, and his daughter, Nancy Mae Monson-Roney.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Jim Chambers, Dale Junior, Jerry Lee, Frank Ray and Michael Lee Roney; brothers, Darrel Ray, Jack, Lowell, and John Roney; and a sister, Joyce Jacobson. He also leaves behind twenty-four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Pratt Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Rollins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left in Alvin’s memory to any local Methodist church.
