

Andrew “Andy” Curtis Barnes lived in Van Buren Arkansas. He passed away on June 13th, 2025, at the age of 70. Andy was born on Jan 16, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas. After he was born, his family moved from Del City, Oklahoma to Anchorage, Alaska, and then to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from El Dorado High School and joined the United States Navy. Andy began active military service on November 29, 1975, and moved up rank to an E3 as a Surface Sonar Technician on the USS Morton. He was Honorably Discharged on January 18th, 1979. Andy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by: mother, Ruth C. Chamberlain; father, James R. Barnes; and niece, Allison Landry.
He is survived by: sister, Susan Paulson (John); nieces, Sarah Landry (husband, Sean Landry, children Collin, Taylor, and Brooklyn), Lisa Pinard (husband, Francois Pinard, children, Anais, Giselle, Guillaume, and Gavrie), Anna Genneken (husband, Bryan Genneken, children, Parker, Kate), and Jessica Fourrier (husband, Mitchell Fourrier, children, Johnny, Jack, McKinley, Maximus); brother, James E. Barnes; niece, Magnolia Barnes; brother, Charles Barnes (Diana); niece, Samantha Barnes Stockwell (Malachi); and step father, Robert (Bob) Chamberlain.
