Aurita Wanda Cavness

Aurita was born in Fayetteville, AR on October 18, 1936. She went to Rogers High School and graduated in 1954. She met Jim H. Cavness and they were married December 31, 1957. During their 27 years of marriage they had 5 children. During Jim’s time in the military, they traveled to many interesting places.

She spent many years being a homemaker before starting work at Citizens Bank and WalMart, as well as working for the school transport department as an aide on the special needs bus. She enjoyed painting, puzzles, writing poetry/short stories and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by: husband, Jim H. Cavness; parents, Harry and Maude Strong; one brother, Jim Strong; and her grandson, Brandon Woodward Jr.

She is survived by: sons, Jim S. Cavness (Lisa), Johnathan Cavness (preceded by wife, Leianne), and Jason Cavness (Tammy); daughters, Jayme Cavness, and Jana Cavness; brother, Bill Strong; grandchildren, Jory Cavness (Shelbie), Jara Douthit (Todd), Kristopher Johnson, Jessica Woodward, Jayme L Landron, Dustin Alderson, Dawna Hancock (Jeff), Kelly Williams (Gary), Joshua Cavness, Jenae Cavness, and Jim H. Cavness; and great-grandchildren, Julian, Journey, Jayden, Arianna, Jameson, Aaron, Allison, Acin, Antonio, Alex, Addie, Asher, Averie, Tyler (Ashley), Jeremy (Kristi), Brett (Jessica), Brianna (James), Joshua, Mason, Kaylem, Joseph, Jayne, Jayson, and Jonah.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 22nd 2023 from 6pm-8pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers AR. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 10am at Flagstone Church of Christ, with graveside services to follow at Bentonville Cemetery
