Barbara Jean Reznicek, age 91, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in Bentonville on Friday, May 30, 2025. Born on October 7, 1933, in Marion, Kansas, she was the cherished daughter of Godfrey and Mary (Vlk) Jirak.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edmund Frank Reznicek; her parents; and her brothers, Robert and Joe Jirak. She is survived by her sister, Janie (Walt) Lesher of Lawrence, KS; her sons Mark Reznicek of Boise, ID, Phillip (Nancy) Reznicek of Rogers, Tony (Barbara) Reznicek of Marshall, AR, Daniel Reznicek of Rogers; her daughters Gayle (Vann) Rackley of Rogers, Teri Reznicek of Rogers, Amy (Doug) Sagely of Rogers, and Alison Reznicek of Fayetteville, AR; as well as a legacy of grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored their beloved “Babi.”
Barbara’s life was defined by love, creativity, and care. A talented seamstress, she spent countless hours at her sewing machine crafting beautiful clothes, accessories, and intricate quilts. A regular volunteer for her church in many areas, she also maintained the liturgical vestments for her church clergy, a labor of love that lasted decades.
Though she was a quiet and thoughtful person, Barbara found great joy in her time with friends, including her sewing and quilting groups, where she shared laughter, stories, and the satisfaction of creating something meaningful together.
Music was a regular companion in her life — from the lively energy of polka dances to the soulful sounds of bluegrass and gospel, she found joy in every beat.
She and Edmund shared a love of adventure, exploring the country together in their motorhome. Whether camping under the stars or traveling to new places, Barbara embraced each journey with excitement and an open heart.
Above all, Barbara will be remembered as a devoted mother of eight, a loving sister, a proud grandmother, and a friend to many. Her gentle presence and generous spirit touched everyone she met, and her legacy will continue through the family she loved so deeply.
Visitation will be held June 5, 2025 at 10AM at Rollins Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at Rollins Funeral Home at 11AM
The family invites all who knew Barbara to come and celebrate a life beautifully lived and dearly missed.
