Born on October 1, 1962, in Oxnard, California, to Mary and Buford Bennett, Barry grew up with a vibrant spirit and a deep love for his community. He attended local schools and graduated from Camarillo High School, where he formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Barry was a man of simple pleasures and immense heart. Anyone who knew him understood his lifelong passion for trucks; he could spend hours enthusiastically talking about them, looking at new models, and sharing his admiration for big rigs. He also had a deep love for travel, always eager to explore new places, hit the open road, and experience the world around him. Above all else, Barry treasured his time spent with family and friends. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved, sharing stories, and making everyone around him smile.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary and Buford Bennet, and his three brothers, Bob Bennett, Buddy Bennett, and Bill “BB” Bennet.
Barry’s memory will be kept alive by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as a large circle of extended family and dear friends who loved him deeply. His kind heart, infectious enthusiasm, and gentle soul will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, please extend his legacy of kindness by making a memorial donation to Circle of Life Hospice, Bentonville, AR.
