Bertha Mae Phillips, 86, passed away October 23, 2013 in Rogers. She was born on February 14, 1927 in Paris, Arkansas, to Dean and Ola (Gunderman) Hamilton. She was the wife of late Doyle Phillips, whom she married in Paris, Texas on December 4, 1943.
Bertha Mae was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers and taught in the Primary Department and nursery for many years.
She is survived by her son, Jim Phillips and wife, Connie of Aurora, Missouri; daughters, Carolyn Townzen of Bentonville, and Doylene Beaver and husband, Gary of League City, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and her precious dog, Cricket.
She is preceded in death by her parents and step-father, A. F. Saulsberry; husband; son, Wesley; 2 brothers, John Hamilton and Floyd Saulsberry; and 3 sisters, Geradine Hamilton, Rebecca West, Onita Gale Saulsberry.
A graveside memorial will be on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 2:00pm at Benton County Memorial Park.
