Betty Jean Wilks, 88 of Rogers, passed away Wednesday, June 1. She was born February 8, 1928 in Marionville, Missouri to the late Rama B. and Bessie Pearl (Hamlin) McNeill. For 52 years she was the loving wife of David Joe Wilks who preceded her, as did her parents, her brothers, Lyle J. and Gerald D. McNeill and a grandson, Kyle Wilks. Betty and her husband moved their family to Rogers from Neosho, Missouri nearly 50 years ago and established an accounting practice. She assisted her husband in their business while taking care of her family and playing piano and organ in their church. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Rogers. Survivors include her children, Jo Dunlavy of Rogers, Steve Wilks and his wife Stacey of Springfield, Missouri and Randall Wilks and wife Kathy of Bethel Heights; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends
