

Billy Paul Rogers, born on April 13, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 71. A resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Billy was known for being hard-working and devoted throughout his life.
Billy spent his early years in Dallas, where he graduated from Garland High School. During his time there, he was actively involved as a thespian and began a lifelong hobby in bowling, winning several trophies. After high school, he attended Eastfield Community College, majoring in Engineering.
His career was marked by dedication and mobility, as he started working for the railroad after college. Billy worked for multiple rail lines, moving all over the country for his career. He spent three decades with the railroad, beginning as an engineer before retiring as a supervisor for the Caltrain commuter rail that runs from San Francisco to San Jose. Billy and Nancy then moved to Arkansas, where they built their dream home on Beaver Lake.
In his personal life, Billy was a loving father to Diane and Jennifer, and a proud Papa to Emily, Cole, and Matthew. In 2003, he married Nancy, with whom he shared a deep love for their dogs, Sadie and Winston.
Billy enjoyed spending time on the lake, hanging out with friends, fishing, grilling, and taking frequent drives in his cherished Corvette. He was a regular at Wednesday night poker games and a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. He also loved going on cruises, especially to destinations with warm weather, sandy beaches, casinos, and good food and drinks.
In his community, Billy was a volunteer firefighter at the Grassy Knob Volunteer Fire Dept since 2010 and a member of Beaver Lake Baptist Church during the same period.
Billy is preceded in death by his father, Billie Frank Rogers and his stepson, Brian Woods.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rogers; mother, Edith Teague; daughters, Diane Weir (Christopher) and Jennifer Rogers (Ashley); his grandchildren, Emily, Cole, and Matthew Weir; and his former wife and dear friend, Marsha Rogers.
Billy Paul Rogers will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his work, and his community, as well as his passion for life’s simple pleasures.
