So very sad to hear about Bruce.

My bride, Sheryl, and I have not lived in NWA for many years. But Mr. B's was a constant when we lived there. We would order the crab cakes, then filet's rare, and on occasion some dessert. Bruce would always say hello from the kitchen ... always so kind and always smiling.

Our story is very simple. Our early days in NWA we simply did not have much money. We'd been to Mr. B's a quite a few times and we had an issue, my parents and grand parents were coming to town.

We knew of course that dinner had to be at Mr. B's and Sheryl and I wanted to buy dinner for the whole family. Something we'd never done before and were just barely getting to a place where we could actually afford it.

So we obviously go to dinner, and obviously have an incredible dinner. Amazing. I proudly pay for dinner for my family and I know that my parents and grand-parents know that Sheryl and I are gonna be ok.

As we're walking out my WWII veteran Grandfather looks at us and says "that was the best steak I've ever had" and trust me, he'd had a few. We were so proud.

Bruce will be missed. He is loved. And we will cherish our time at Mr. B's with PJ and Bruce and the staff. Yes the food was amazing but Bruce and PJ made Mr. B's and we were proud to be customers for our time in NWA.

I got to know Bruce upon my trips to AR from NY. I always looked forward to seeing him and PJ at Mr. B’s . Such a warm and really an all around great man. I will miss his warm smile and great conversations.

I’ll never forget when you took over the helm at Herman’s. I have so many fond memories of those wonderful meals before or after a Razorback game and all the fun we shared. I am so sad for Bruce’s passing and my heart goes out to you P.J and Kris. You all are so dear to me. May God Bless You .

P J and Kris, I am just heartbroken. Just saw the notice in the paper today. I am in tears as I write this. Bruce was like a true brother to me. I am just in shock. We lost a truly kind, wonderful, loyal friend. Can’t get him off my mind. So thankful I got to see him in February. I just wish it wasn’t the last time. He was one of the finest men I have ever known. I will be there Monday. I would be honored to be a pallbearer if I could. I loved him and you all as well. You are in my prayers and continual thoughts. Let me know if there is anything you need. Love Rob

We are so sad to hear about Bruce. We enjoyed so many meals and good times at Mr. Bs. He had an infectious personality and always treated everyone like family. Thinking of PJ and family during this time.
