Bruce Matthew Cottingham of Athens, Georgia, age 61, died Friday, June 25, 2010. Bruce was a chemist, retired from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service as Laboratory Director of the Quality Assurance Division. Born to Ralph Henry Cottingham and Maida Gay Harwell, he is survived by his wife, Connie Fugedy Cottingham of Athens. Other surviving relatives include sisters Jan Cottingham and Karen Rader, both of Little Rock, Arkansas, son Adam Cottingham of California and daughter Sarah Tisdale and granddaughter Ava Tisdale of Springdale, Arkansas. Visitation at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas will be Thursday, July 1 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at French Prairie Cemetary near Booneville, Arkansas at 11:00 am Friday, July 2. A memorial service will be planned in Athens.
