Carol graduated from Rogers High School and worked for both Tyson Foods and the Arkansas Occupational Health Clinic. She was married for 52 years to her beloved husband, Jim Patton.
Carol was full of life and heart. She loved to travel and was a competitive bowler. She found joy in camping, fishing, and growing the most beautiful flowers. She was an incredible cook—most people felt her love first around her table. She adored her cat, Sassy, and treasured time spent with her family. She was a devoted sister who shared countless laughs and memorable adventures with Delores, Donna, and Joyce. Also the most fun and loving grandma and aunt, she was always up for making special memories with Michaela and Morgan, as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Patton; her son, James Patton; her daughter, Sheryl Bingham; her parents, Jack and Laura Baker; her sister, Joyce Wise; and her brother, Johnny Baker.
Carol is survived by her son Rick Patton and wife Toni of Bentonville; her grandchildren, Michaela and Morgan Patton of Bentonville; her sisters, Delores Manley of Springdale and Donna Moffit of West Fork; and a large number of loving nieces and nephews.
Carol was love and strength wrapped into one extraordinary woman—the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, safe, and cared for, especially when she was in the kitchen. Her legacy is one of deep kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love—and we will carry that with us always.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 23rd at Rollins Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service immediately following. Carol will be laid to rest at Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield, Arkansas. A reception will be held afterwards at her home in Lowell.
