He served in the Korean War for 3 years and was a decorated sharp shooter, Sgt. First Class. He proudly served his country in both the Army and National Guard from 1950-1956.
Upon returning from Korea, he married the love of his life Stella Pauline Rust. They were married 54 years, from April 25, 1953 until she passed in 2007.
Clyde was co-founder/owner of Prince Automotive in Bentonville. Upon retiring from Prince, he worked part-time at Northwest Automotive Parts Store in Rogers.
Clyde really enjoyed traveling with Pauline. Some trips through the US and Canada included the company of her brother and sister-in-law, Tommie Joe and Ima Lou Rust, along with their great friends, Allen and Geneva Holcomb.
Clyde loved tinkering and was always repairing something from watches to radios. He also was a very skilled woodworker and created many masterpieces. These pieces included dog houses, Adirondack chairs and birdhouses, some made with recycled barn wood. He would sell these items in his retirement.
He especially loved spending time with his family. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and attended the House of God Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Faye; wife, Stella; brother, Clarence “Bud” Weaver; and sister, Josephine Reeves.
He is survived by his daughters, Paula Weaver LeClercq and family friend, Belinda Cornyn of Sugar Grove, Illinios and Gale Weaver Foerster of Rogers; sister, Shirley “Betty” Woodard of Rogers; grandchildren, Kyle Foerster and his wife, Erin, Jaime Niesen and her husband, Nate and Drew LeClercq; and great-grandson, Henry Louis Niesen.
