David was a surveyor for the US Army during the Vietnam War Era in Germany. He worked at Walmart for 34 years before retiring. David enjoyed traveling with his family and took many trips West to California, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery and visit monumental locations. He was an avid gardener and loved to work out in his yard. He was very good with computers, liked listening to music and teasing people with his contagious sense of humor.
David is survived by his wife, Tyral Jane (Henningsen) Spence; son, Brady Craig (Jamie) of Florida; daughters, Kelsie Craig of Tennessee, Felicia Tahirou (Issoufou) of Arkansas, and Dawn Craig of Missouri; brothers, Jerry Spence (Anita) of Virginia, Ron Spence of Utah, and Dick Spence (Kathy) of California; and 6 grandchildren, Joshuah Mason, Ibrahim Tahirou, Naomi Tahirou, Evelyn Craig, Audrey Craig and Simon Craig.
His funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 1pm, in Rollins Funeral Home Stateroom. Burial will be private. www.rollinsfuneral.com.
