Deborah Lynn Livesay, 60, passed away on August 23, 2023 in Bentonville, Arkansas, following a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 5, 1963 in Carthage, Illinois to the late Robert Sr. and Reva (Kelly) Brown. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Brown, Jr. in 2006.
Deborah attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. She was a poet, an author, a voracious reader, and a devoted mother to four sons who never failed to test her patience.
She spent the last few years of her life as the Director of Academy Affairs at Haas Hall Academy in Bentonville, Arkansas, where she endeavored to pass on her great love of writing and literature. She also held regular writing workshops and retreats for adults.
Deborah is survived by her sons, Ben Livesay and his wife, Carrie; Sam Livesay and his wife, Molly; Daniel Livesay and his fiancée, Cheyenne; and David Livesay and his wife, Emily. She is also survived by her grandsons, Leo and Elijah, and her niece and nephew, Tyler Brown and Kourtnea Brown.
A memorial service will be held at the Christian Church of Carl Junction on Sunday, September 10th, at 3:00 PM.
