Dorothy Hegwood

Dorothy Marie Hegwood, 95, of War Eagle passed away peacefully at Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, on March 3, 2015. She was born on November 23, 1919, in Yuba, Oklahoma, to Rosco and Della Mae Bird.

She was a lifelong Baptist and homemaker, who had a special way with all her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alonzo; three brothers, and three daughters, Trudy Jeske, Susie Hegwood and an infant daughter.

She is survived by her children; Renay Trotter of Rogers; Howard Faris and wife, Anna of New Market, VA; Letricia Thomas of War Eagle; 6 grandchildren, Ken and Keith Faris, Luke and David Thomas, Courtney Jeske, and Sarah Trotter; and 9 great-grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, and Aaron Thomas; Caleb, Hunter, and Maddie Thomas; Christian and Caitlin Faris; and Penelope Jeske.

A visitation will be on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 12-1pm in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 1pm. Burial will be at War Eagle Cemetery.
