Ed was born January 3, 1928 in Guthrie, OK to the late Isaac Newton Foster and Esther Isabel (Burton) Foster.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Patricia (Kroehnke) Foster, of the home; one son, Dale Foster and his wife Toni of Fayetteville; one daughter, Teresa Smith and her husband Eric of Rogers; two brothers, Loren Foster and his wife Sue of Green Forest and Gerald Foster and his wife Orena of Helendale, CA; and one grandson, Chase Foster of Fayetteville.
He grew up in Green Forest, Arkansas and moved to California where he met his soul mate of 59 years. Ed loved to spend time with his wife Pat traveling around the country. He had a zest for life. Ed’s charisma was infectious and he never met a stranger. He believed that life’s journey should be spent with family and friends where he shared his happiness, humor and love. He prided himself in being a responsible citizen and believed in hard work, honesty and doing the right thing.
Ed was in his glory when his kids and grandson were home and he could be a part of their lives. His passion was to be with family and friends hunting and being engaged in various sports. Most of all he treasured having everyone to the lake house for an adventurous time of boating, skiing and more.
Ed will truly be missed here on earth but, we all feel confident that in heaven he was well received by the angels, his family and friends. He has brightened the skies above. We shall see him again.
We love you dad!
