Emma Cooper, 86, passed March 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 2, 1935 to the late James D. and Nancy E. (Butler) Fowler. She was the wife of the late Thomas Ray Cooper who passed in 2015.
Ms. Emma was a wonderful woman. She loved Jesus with all her heart and it showed in the way she treated others. Her goal in life was to lead others to Christ, and she achieved that goal. She was a mother to all who knew her. Her daughters were very precious to her and they were with her always. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy as were her great-grandchildren when they were born. She was full of love and laughter and will be greatly missed.
Her story begins in Winn Alabama where she was born in 1935, one of 11 children. Her parents moved to Missouri, where she grew up and met her husband, Thomas Ray Cooper, whom she married in 1954. They moved to California in 1956 and she began her ministry there at the Church of God Holiness. When they moved to Rogers, in 1990, she pastored at the Church of God Holiness in Rogers. She also worked at Walmart for 10 years as a cashier and Customer Service Manager. She really enjoyed being around people and helping them. When she retired she left a void that could never be refilled.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Cooper; her 4 brothers and 6 sisters; and her precious great-grandchild, Gavin Couch.
Emma is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Trinidad, Debbie Cooper, and Beverly Cooper all of Rogers; grandchildren, Manuel Trinidad, April Fielding, Elizabeth Herron, and Andy Trinidad (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Bentley and Charley; and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Her visitation is Friday, April 1, 2022, 5-7pm, Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service is Saturday, 11am, in Rollins Chapel with burial to follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
A luncheon will follow the burial at Little Flock Park, 1500 Little Flock.
