

Franklin Darwin Tillery, age 79, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on November 18, 2011 at his home. He was born February 5, 1932 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to the late Bill and Minnie Welch Tillery. He married Paula Sue on December 21, 1959.
He is survived by his wife Paula Sue Tillery of Rogers, Arkansas, one son Joe Brent Tillery and his wife Susan of Garfield AR; one daughter Sarah Dea Allison and her husband Chris Allison of Little Rock AR; a Special Family member Alxeis Kell ; Frank's brothers and sisters; Helen Pickell of Muskogee OK, Jiggs Tillery of Tulsa OK, John Tillery of Oklahoma City , OK, his brothers and sister’s-in-law; Jan Smith of Mobile AL, Derrol Kirby Jr. of Ozark, AR, Linda Halmes of Ozark, AR and Kay Pitts of Clarksville, AR.
He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Della Willey, Tearl Tillery, Ellen Nichols, C.W. Tillery Jr., Corrine Rodman and George Tillery.
Frank’s accomplishments include;
Rogers Arkansas School District Superintendent, Rogers Junior High School Principal, Rogers
High School Head Football Coach from 1959 to 1963, Muskogee Oklahoma Head Football
Coach, Sand Springs Oklahoma Head Football Coach and Guthrie Oklahoma Head Football
Coach.
Frank was a Graduate of Northeastern State University with a Bachelor of Education Degree and The University of Arkansas with a Master’s Degree in Administration.
Frank was a Founding Board Member of the Board Of Trustees for the Northwest Arkansas Community College appointed by former Governor Bill Clinton, received the Arkansas Association Of Educational Administrators Distinguished Service Award, a United Fund Board of Director from 1985 to 1987 and a member of the Northwest Arkansas Educational Service
Co-Op Board of Directors.
