Gary A. Hevelone

Gary A. Hevelone, 71, died on October 18, 2012 in Rogers. He was born on January 10, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Sidney F. Hevelone and Mildred F. (Schwader) Hevelone of Scottsdale, Arizona. Gary was the loving husband of Cheryl E. (Henslee) Hevelone of Rogers.

He worked in sales for many years at New Hope RV’s, then went to work for Cabela’s when it opened.

He served in the United States Army Aviation division, was a member of First Baptist Church of Lowell. Gary graduated from the University of Tulsa, with a BA, where he played 4 years on a basketball scholarship. He loved to fish and camp with his family.

Gary is survived by his wife, mother, children: Shane Hevelone and wife Becky of Rogers, and Kellie Burnett and husband Chris of Pea Ridge; sister, Marva Lee Crozier and husband Robert of Scottsville, Arizona and 5 grandchildren.

His memorial service will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:00am in the First Baptist Church in Lowell. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home.
