George Aubrey Long, 67, passed away on February 5, 2026. He was born on May 29, 1958 in Bay City, Texas to Clarence (C.A.) and Helen Long. George married his wife, Barbara, on May 24, 1981 and they settled in Rogers, Arkansas where they raised four children together. He spent almost 45 years as a dedicated employee of Packaging Specialties. George was loving and quick to laugh and will be remembered for his kindness, humor, optimism, and dedication to his friends and family.
George is survived by Barbara and his children, Jessica, Matthew, James, and John and their families. He is also survived by two brothers, three sisters, and a loving extended family, as well as countless friends.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on February 12, 2026 at 10 AM and 11 AM at First Baptist Church in Bentonville, 200 SW A St, Bentonville, AR 72712. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bibles for the World, Spirit of Martyrdom, or Youth With a Mission missionaries in George’s memory.
