Hannah Paige Porter of Rogers passed away on November 23, 2019. She was born on February 3, 1987 in Little Rock to Fred and Betty Porter.

Hannah was a daughter, sister, grandchild, niece, aunt and friend to so many. She was an animal lover, passion seeker, human rights supporter, philosopher, wicked smart and beyond big hearted. She had the kind of heart who would take her shirt off for another in the pouring freezing rain if it would offer comfort to someone in need. She was the kind of person that felt and cared so deeply about others. She was the kind of person who softened the presence of strangers. Actually, she didn’t know a stranger. Hannah was a giver. She was the ultimate friend, giving her whole self even in times when she herself didn’t know how to go on. In all her suffering, she had grit. She shared her struggles in hopes to bring awareness to others suffering. She was not ashamed. We are so proud of our Hannah. Her bright smile, honest words and caring soul will forever live in our memory.

She will be missed by her parents, Betty and Fred Porter, sister and brother-in law, Lindsey and Blake Cook, nephew Daly Cook and niece Eliza Cook, maternal grandmother, Bonnie Browning, bonus sister, Callie Fletcher, aunts and uncles which include Debbie Porter of Royal, AR, Billy Porter Hardin of Hot Springs, AR, Herb & Jean Porter of Hot Springs Village, AR, David & Janie Willis of Cherry Valley, AR, Larry & Susan Lambert of Olive Branch, MS, Kenny Browning of Cherry Valley, AR and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill & Rilda Porter, maternal grandfather, John Browning, uncles Wayne Browning, Ralph Porter & Troy Hardin, aunt Merri Gay Porter Bump, and her dog Sammy.

A Celebration of Hannah’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the Central United Methodist Church Activities Center at 6 W Dickson St, Fayetteville, AR 72701. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be placed to the memorial fund set up in Hannah’s name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention https://afsp.donordrive.com/campaign/Hannah-Porter

Hannah had the sweetest, most genuine soul I had ever met in a person. She had beauty not only on the outside, but within. My thoughts and prayers go to the Porter family. She will be greatly missed, but her mark will forever stay with the ones she met, loved and helped.

I didn't know Hannah, though when I read her obituary it read as my daughters did, whom was lost in October. I just want to let you know that your family is in my deepest prayers, for strength and healing in the name of our Lord. From one parent to another, I hope the days are short, the nights of rest are long, and may the Lord be with you in the days ahead and always carry you through. You're in my deepest prayers.

Hannah and I were not in the same social group in school but every time we had a class together or ran into each other she greeted me with a smile and a hug and asked how I was doing. And that helped me out on more days than she knew. Fast forward to our adult lives I found out she moved close to where I was living. And I fell on some dark times emotionally she messaged me and helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel and helped ms through it. She was an amazing person who had an amazing light and I am so sad to see that it went out way to soon but she touched the souls of so many around her that her memory and kindness will live on.

Hannah was a very close friend of mine in high school. We were inseparable pretty much. She had a smile that was contagious and it could light up any room. She will be missed dearly by so many. Prayers go out to her family who loved her oh so fiercely. Rest In Peace sweet girl and I take comfort in knowing your mind and heart are finally at rest.

When I think of Hannah, I think about her contagious smile. She was always smiling and bringing joy to others. She always met you with a big hug, even if it had been years since you had seen her. Even if you only met her once, hugs were going to happen with Hannah. She truly cared about others, always putting them first. I am forever grateful to have known Hannah. ❤️
