Our beloved Harold Dean Hendrickson, 84, of Rogers, Arkansas, returned home to our Heavenly Father on March 17, 2021. He was born on November 17, 1936 in Fayetteville, Arkansas alongside his twin sister, Carol Roberts (deceased). Harold and Carol were blessed to be raised by their loving foster family, the Bass Family, who remained a treasured part of his life until his death.
Harold served our country in the United States Navy for 20 years. While serving, he was honored with many awards, including the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Defense Medal, became an esteemed member of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rites, and was a Shriner with the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Mosque.
Upon retirement from the military, Harold continued his career as an electrician in Northwest Arkansas and spent his free time fishing, hunting, and entertaining his family and friends with his quick wit and one-liners.
Harold’s legacy will live on through his wife of nearly 59 years, Janice; his two daughters, Rhonda Stamps (Luther) and Sandra Mahoney (Larry); his three grandchildren, Caitlin Mahoney Spears (Ryan), Brendan Mahoney, and Cody Stamps; his brother-in-law, Donald Roberts; his sister-in-law, Donna Chappell; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Rollins Funeral Home, 1401 W. Hudson Rd, Rogers, AR 72756, on Friday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Jerry Savage. A private burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org) or to The Mahoney Family Foundation (TheMahoneyFamilyFoundation.org) in honor of Harold’s memory.
