

James “Jim” William Taylor, 69, of Gulfport, Mississippi sadly passed away on January 26, 2026. He was born on July 13, 1956, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Mary Elizabeth Taylor and Gomer Vinton Taylor.
Jim spent his early life in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. Later in life, he moved to Rogers, Arkansas, where he spent most of his life. Throughout the years, he worked several occupations, including factory foreman, truck driving, and most recently working as a driver for Pathfinder, Inc. Jim enjoyed his work, and often formed connections with the people he transported. In 2020, he relocated to Mississippi.
In his spare time, Jim enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. He collected sports memorabilia, including trading cards and Super Bowl ring replicas.
Jim is preceded in death by parents, Mary and Gomer Taylor; half-sister, Vivian Marie; brother, Thomas Marion; and brother-in-law, Harlen Bucklew.
He is survived by sister, Diana Ruth Bucklew; brother, Gomer Vinton Taylor Jr; sister, Vinita Alene Hendren (Keith Sanson); as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th from 12:00-1:00 PM at Rollins Funeral Home, 1401 W Hudson Road, Rogers, AR 72756. Memorial service immediately to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Rogers Cemetery.
