He was an avid fisherman, drove a truck for Tyson and Shaw for 16 years, and served in the Army for 3 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Homer “Pete” Templeton and Raul Templeton; and 3 sisters, Velma Gray, Dorothy Bryan and Marguerite Raines.
Survivors include, son, James Thomas Templeton, Jr, of Rogers; daughters, Carrie Voelkel, Rogers and Helen Ramos of Springdale; brother, Larry Templeton of Springdale; sisters, Flossie Pirtle of Sedalia, Missouri., Mary DeHaven of Farley, Missouri, and Rose Wilson of Hutchinson, Kansas; and 5 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2013 from 5 until 7 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at a later date.
