Jeannine and I had only worked together a few months, but I always enjoyed speaking to her and having dinner when she was in town. She was a sweet person and I'm better for having known her. So sad to hear about this news. I always loved having classes with Jeannine. Whenever I would walk into a class and I would see her smiling face, I knew we would always have a fun time. We always made each other laugh. She was very beautiful inside. She will be greatly missed by all.

The last time I saw Jeannine we were both still children, probably playing in her backyard on Woodlawn Avenue. I was usually over to play with Jill, but Nean was always around, always ready to join in the fun and mischief. In my memories of her, Jeannine will stay eternally curious, charming, full of mirth and merriment, and unabashedly generous of heart- as only a child can be. The knowledge that such a person can exist is a source of comfort to me, as I know it is to all who knew her. I'm so sorry for this tragic loss. The Gueydan family, especially Ms. Joy, will remain in my thoughts and heart.

So sorry to hear about Jeannine. She was a very sweet girl. I remember we use to talk in study hall and laugh. We had a good laugh over her first car. She told me it was a caprice and I did not know what that was. She told me it was  like an old taxi cab. We laughed and she was excited that she had wheels to go some place. Your family is in my prayers. I know Jeannine is a special guardian angel.
