
Jimmy David Slaughter, 75, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born July 7, 1950, Jimmy was a hard-working man who devoted his life to providing for those he loved. Jimmy was born in El Dorado to Thomas Slaughter and Ruth (Pittman) Slaughter.
Beginning at the age of eighteen, Jimmy worked as a truck driver and spent his entire life in that line of work, a steady and dependable presence behind the wheel for decades.
In 1971, Jimmy married Martha Slaughter. Together they raised three wonderful children: Tina Slaughter, Scott Slaughter (Carla), and Michael Slaughter. In 1999, he moved to Rogers, Arkansas to be closer to family.
Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he especially loved cooking for others—always making sure his grandbabies had something to eat. He took pride in having cookouts and inviting the family over, creating the kind of gatherings that brought everyone together. He also liked watching old Westerns and “The Price Is Right.”
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Slaughter; and brothers, Floyd Slaughter and Stanley Slaughter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Slaughter; children, Tina Slaughter, Scott Slaughter (Carla), and Michael Slaughter; brothers, Stevie Slaughter, Clyde Slaughter (Carolyn), Monroe Slaughter; sister, Carolyn Faye Slaughter; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
