Joan J. Cooper, 86 of Aurora, Colorado and formerly of McDonald County, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017. She was born in Creek County Oklahoma to the late Ollie and Cobet Gaskins. On December 9, 1950, she married her high school sweetheart, Arlis Cooper, who preceded her in 2013. They are survived by 2 daughters, Rhonda Recknor and Robin Johnson; 4 grandchildren, Steven Recknor, Rebecca Williams, Scott Johnson and Beth Johnson; 5 great grandchildren; Jessica Williams, Sara Williams, Dillion Totten, Alexis Johnson, Jaxon Recknor; a sister, Sally McGaugh; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Services were held in Denver, Colorado. A visitation will be held from 10-12:00 pm, Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
