

Kelly Angelo Lewis, age 67, of Rogers, went to be with Jesus on September 3, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born July 14, 1944, in Independence, Louisiana, to the late Joseph Lewis, Sr., and Virginia (Governale) Lewis.
Survivors include his children, Aaron Lewis and wife Jackie of Siloam Springs, Brian Lewis and wife Melinda of Fayetteville, Amy Shipp and husband Wendell of Huntsville; sisters, Rosie Roberts of Rogers, Peggie Pittman and husband Doyle of Richland, Mississippi, Carmela Bush and husband Harry and Patricia Burroughs, all of Tickfaw, Louisiana; brothers, Joe Lewis, Jr. of Georgia, Mike Lewis of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Tony Lewis of Tickfaw, Louisiana, Paul Lewis of Independence, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and very special friends Jimmy and Nellie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and seven siblings: Pete, Angelo, Salvador, Johnny, Frank and Virginia Lewis, and Mary Compton.
The family wishes to thank the staff at New Hope and Jamestown Health and Rehab, and Mercy and Northwest Medical Centers.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2011, at Rollins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Rollins Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion in Rogers, or to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
