Kevin Hoyt of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born in Rogers, Arkansas on November 17, 1962 to Jerry and Dorothy Hoyt. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Jerry, grandparents, Kenneth and Della Hoyt and Harley and Hazel Welker. Kevin is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hoyt; brother, Ken Hoyt and wife Teresa; sister, Karla Miller and husband Tom; and many special nieces and nephews. Kevin is also survived by the wonderful staff at Life Styles where he lived for almost thirty years. A special thank you to Debbie Giles, Jim Thomas, Mike Mathis, and Cathy Houser who all took such good care of Kevin. Kevin attended Sunshine School in Vaughn, Arkansas. He then worked at the Adult Development Center in Rogers before moving to Life Styles in 1992. His move to Life Styles allowed Kevin to live life to the fullest and experience so many amazing things. He formed lifelong friendships, took classes, held jobs, travelled (all the way to Hawaii!) and lived life independently. None of that would have been possible without the wonderful staff at Life Styles. Kevin enjoyed the watching the Razorbacks, “The Price is Right” – every morning at 10:00 A.M sharp and anything Scooby-Doo related, going to flea markets, and spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Kevin’s name to Life Styles, Inc., P.O. Box 1114, Fayetteville, AR 72703. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Kevin is in the care of Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas. Memories and condolences may be shared at

I found out about Kevin's passing only today. Dorothy, I am so sorry for your loss, & you also Ken & Karla & families. I remember how happy Kevin would be to see someone he knew, & remember also how excited he was years ago when we met in Walmart? maybe, & he was with Dorothy buying things for his move to LifeStyles....
My thoughts & prayers are with all of you.

Kevin was a great guy. A true friend, who would always speak his truth and let you know where he stood, he was genuine. His smile was a huge, whole-hearted , engaging and warm expression of his happiness. A true treat to behold.
I knew Kevin for 14 years, while working at Life Styles. We spent time together (when he decided to attend) in classes I taught, at his apartment (I briefly assisted there one summer - he grew LOTS of tomatoes in his yard!) and just being around for Life Styles activities.
It’s tough to have to say goodbye, Kev.
Peace and love to all family members and Life Styles staff at this unfortunate development. I know he will be missed.
