Growing up, Kevin’s happiest moments were spent enjoying the outdoors with his family; spending time on the lake water skiing, camping, and most importantly fishing – a passion that would follow him throughout his life.
After graduating from Springdale High School, Kevin felt called to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1986. During his time in the service, Kevin was awarded numerous decorations and recognition. A seven-time rifle expert, two-time pistol expert, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon recipient, two-time Meritorious Mast recipient, and Good Conduct Medal recipient, Kevin served with all the integrity and excellence of a true Marine. Kevin graduated from Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership School in 1990 and earned the rank of Corporal before being honorably discharged.
In 1991, on a day that he considered one of the proudest moments of his life, Kevin met Julie. Kevin and Julie married on July 3, 1992, and enjoyed more than three decades of marriage together.
A lifelong fisherman, Kevin spent as much time as he could with a line in the water and participated in numerous fishing tournaments. One of his greatest achievements was qualifying for the 2006 Bass Fishing League All-American Championship Tournament where he placed 13th out of 33,000 fishermen. As Kevin put it, “Fishing, fishing, and more fishing! Why would anyone waste time with two hobbies?”
Above all, Kevin was a loving husband to his wife of 33 years, and a proud grandfather who adored his grandkids and cherished watching them grow.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Dora Reynolds; brothers, Wayne and David Reynolds; and nephew, Bryan Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Reynolds; son, Christopher Burnside (Crissy); sisters, Patti Pinalto and Lynette Reynolds; nephews, Brandon and Nathan Reynolds; grandchildren, Kaden Burke (Katie), Kennedy Burnside, and Kooper Burnside; great-grandchildren, Onyx and Oliver Burke; and his cousin and lifelong friend, Dwayne Burton (Dawn).
