Kirk Alan Kimball, age 71, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, passed away on April 29th after a life of loving and serving the Lord.
Kirk was born on April 18, 1954, to Vernon Leroy (Kim) Kimball and Marie Evelyn Kimball in Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating from Beavercreek High School, in Beavercreek, Ohio, he went to study at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas for two years. From there, Kirk moved back to his hometown in Ohio and went to carpentry school for one year. Having completed this this training, he moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, and entered the Jesus Center Ministry during the time of the 70’s Spiritual Revolution. Later, he moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he obtained an electronic technician’s certification.
In Hot Springs, he met and married the love of his life, Linda Sims, in 1986. Time passed and Kirk decided he wanted to advance his technological future by getting his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering. He did this by attending night school for five years. After graduating, he kick started his career by working for Epoch Online for two years. This opened the door for him to take a position at the Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas where he worked as a software applicator until his retirement in 2020. In 2021, Kirk and Linda relocated to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where Kirk had always dreamed of living! They already had many friends and a church fellowship in the area that they would attend.
Kirk enjoyed music! He played keyboard and guitar. He loved astronomy and creation science. His hobbies included hiking, kayaking, biking and adventuring.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father, Vernon (Kim) Kimball; his mother, Marie Kimball; and his brother, Karl T. Kimball.
