Larry was born on December 29, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dwight Frank DeVorak and Dorothy Lee Sanders DeVorak. Larry loved his hometown of Hazen, Arkansas and told many stories of his life there over the years. He was a proud Navy Veteran, and if you sat still long enough in the 70’s and 80’s, you were a captive audience of his slides of the Philippines while he was stationed there. Larry loved aviation and loved his years as a pilot. He was an avid wood worker and talented craftsman. His family will always cherish the works he made for them. Larry loved his family with all he had in him and showed them that in so many ways. But he loved his Lord above all. He fought a good fight and ran his race with endurance. His family is confident that he met his Savior face to face Sunday morning and heard the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Larry is survived by his wife, Teresa, daughter, Jennifer Faddis and her husband Lance; son, Jeremy and his wife, Leah; “adopted” son, Tomas He DeVorak and his wife Anne; 8 grandchildren, Luke, Sara, Hope, Emma, Hattie, Angela, Larry, and Welly. Sister Beth Perry and her husband Doug. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug DeVorak.
