Thinking of him a lot today. Miss him so much.

There is a hole in my heart now, but I am so grateful we had Dad for 86 years. He was a patient, kind, generous, intelligent, fun loving man who loved his family more than anything.  He and Mom always make sure we have a place to gather so we can all have a good time together and stay close to each other, whether it's sisters and family, nieces, nephews, cousins or great friends, they always open their home to all of us.  Dad worked very hard to provide for his six girls and retired early to build Mom her new home at Beaver Lake, the place we all have so many awesome memories.  I know many loved ones greeted You, Dad, with open arms in Paradise and may You Rest In Peace, my Friend, my Mentor, my Dad

Lester McGregor was many things to many people…to me, he was a kind, loving man. For years, Doris and Les would drive all the way down to Corpus Christi to visit Donna, Alex & I for Thanksgiving. On one trip years ago, Les wanted to surprise Donna. He brought pre-cut cedar and tools. I helped him unload his trunk but that was about it. Les put together a wonderful bench complete with 2 little birdhouses on each end. But watching him work was a sight to see. All the pieces of wood were cut precisely. Each nail was hammered in straight and each screw was in tight. We still enjoy that bench on our deck today.    This is just one of many great memories I have of a truly unique man who always had a ready smile and wonderful laugh. Les had an encyclopedic knowledge of construction, motors, gardening, hunting, fishing, life and many other things. But all this does not compare to his love of family...truly, the only thing bigger than his vast knowledge was his heart. Our visits to Beaver Lake won't be the same, but what will always remain are the wonderful memories that is the heart and soul of Lester McGregor.

So many memories ill never stop loving you and thank you for always listening watch over grandma and keep her safe and may God give us all peace and healing.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss.  I know he was loved very much by his family.  Ashley talked of him often with great love and admiration.  He will be missed by many.  May God bless you and give you the strength to make it through this difficult time.

We just heard about Lester tonight.  So sorry.   Terry wanted you to know what a great person he always thought he was.  Our thoughts are with you.

I didn't know Lester personally, but I did get to know him through Judy & Debbie.  I know he will be greatly missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you both and your families.  I pray God will give you comfort and heal your heart.  Love always.  Penny Lumbley.  "I am thy sister".
