Linda A. Beeney, age 86 of Rogers, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born July 21, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Paul and Carmela Marquardt. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jim Beeney, her parents, sister Heidi Dooley and son David Bourke. One of her greatest loves was the Razorbacks. She was an avid fan who never missed a game, and now she will have the best seat in the house in Omaha. She prioritized her time by spending it with family and friends. As a friend, she was the best one you could ever wish for, her friendships were a driving force in her life and meant so much to her. Adventurous at heart is an understatement, always wanting to, and at times adamant about, wanting to try something new. On her 80th birthday, she went tubing on Beaver Lake and took her first zipline ride at age 85. She never stopped asking when we could do it again. Linda was the quintessential optimist. She wrote the book on positive thinking. The language she spoke to all was only of positive thoughts, ideas, and messages. She delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband Jim for several years, she was with the Sunshine School for over 10 years, and for the past two years she volunteered at Samaritan House. She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Bourke and his wife Patti (Terry), Pat Bourke and his wife Lisa (Forga), and one daughter, Jodi Rasey; grandchildren, Megan Bourke Shearin and her husband Brad, Hunter Bourke and his wife Lauren (Case), Sarah Bourke and her fiancé Austin (Ellis), and Brian Bourke and his beloved Marina (Caldwell); and her first great granddaughter Elliotte Grace Shearin, and first great grandson Case McGregor Bourke. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan Community Center in Rogers, AR.

I worked with Linda at Friends House adult Day Care.
She was always kind and cheerful. Even after she left there she and her little charge would come by to say hello.
Blessings and prayers for her family, she was a bright light in our days.

Dear Kevin, Pat and Jodi,

Tim and I always enjoyed your mother so much! She always brought the fun and conversation to the party! Always quick with a compliment, she was SO interested in whoever she was talking with and asking them questions about themselves. She always made you feel special and the center of attention. That is a rare gift and always so appreciated!

Linda will be greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to know and love her...

Love to you all,

Ellen Mitchell and Tim Permenter

Lorie and I weren’t her true daughters, but we were her bonus daughters, as Linda reminded us often. What a unique way of recognizing us!
We loved Linda as our “Bonus Mom”! She was a special person. Always upbeat and positive!
We loved her for taking good care of our dad. If anyone was going to keep him in line and accountable , it was Linda. If it weren’t for Linda, our dad would not have lived as long as he did. She did not coddle him or feel sorry for him. She made him excercise, drink his water and eat before having a coctails. For this we are eternally great full to Linda.
She was a force to be reckoned with and we loved her for this. RIP Linda. We miss you but our memories of you and our dad will live forever.! We love you.
Pam and Lorie.

I have nothing but sweet memories of Joe and Linda, the three boys and then baby Jodi. She was a great Mom and always lots of fun. Buddy, me and the kids loved going to visit them in Ventura. We missed them a lot when they moved .,
My condolences to Linda’s kids. She will be deeply missed. How lucky they are to have loved and been loved by someone so much.
Peace and Light~Sharon
