Lowell Hugh Gibson, 76 of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Circle of Life Hospice House. Born on November 10, 1944 in Goodman, Missouri, he is the son of the late Hugh and Opal Gibson. In addition to his parents, Lowell is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Gibson Sloan Hayes.
Lowell proudly served our country in the United States Army with service in Vietnam with the 5th United States Army Transportation Corps. While in Vietnam, he was exposed to Agent Orange leading to his struggle with Parkinson’s Disease and skin cancer. He was the owner of Gibson Window Cleaning in both Olathe, Kansas and Rogers, Arkansas. Lowell was a member of Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas. He was always making jokes and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a gentle spirit, humble, loved his family and was well known in the community by many. Lowell enjoyed restoring vintage pickups, attending car shows, and particularly enjoyed the movie American Graffiti.
Those left to cherish Lowell’s memory include: Wife of 43 years, Sandra; children, Brian Peery (Tiffany), Bryan Gibson (Michelle), Eric Peery (Jenny), Joshua Gibson, and Sandy Bartley (Chase); grandchildren, Scout, River, and Stone Peery, Megan Peery, Lyriq, Jackson, and Lucca Bartley, and Skylar and Jenna Gibson; and siblings, Gerald Gibson and Carolyn Price.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas beginning at 11am. A committal and interment service will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas at a later date.
