Maria Orozco

Maria Orozco of Decatur Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale Arkansas.

Maria was born in Zacatecas Mexico on August 15, 1957, to Candelaria Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Antonio Orozco, eight children; Saul Orozco, Jessie (Melinda Macedo) Orozco, Rebecca Orozco, Moises Orozco, Johnny Orozco, Clemente Orozco, Benito Orozco, and Beatriz (Julio) Orozco-Ledesma, one granddaughter, Ariana Kumbera, four brothers; Lupin Rueda, Martin Rueda, Rolando Rueda, and Julian Rueda, three sisters; Lourdes Rueda, Laura Rueda, and Chela Rueda, along with eight grandchildren; Isabel Rodriguez, Natalia Rodriguez, Aaliyah Kumbera, Alexia Kumbera, Chloe Orozco, Leila Orozco, and Johnny Orozco JR.

Maria is preceded in death by her mother, Candelaria Rodriguez, sister, Elvira Rueda, and one nephew, Ulysses Rueda.

Maria is remembered by her children as an extremely loving and welcoming woman. She would never let you go home hungry and would open her home to anyone in need. She is also described as a woman with a wise way of words and a very strong yet humble character. Maria loved animals, especially elephants, due to her belief that they brought good luck and fortune. She loved her farm as well as her gardening and culinary skills. She was also a loyal friend and had many long-lasting friendships. Maria was a very wonderful mother and grandmother, all who were lucky to be loved by her will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Rollins funeral home on July 26, 2025, at 1:00PM.
