

Max Raymond Davolt was born on October 4, 1932 in Oswego, KS to Harry and Alice Davolt. He passed away at home on April 27th at the age of 93 surrounded by his family. He graduated from Oswego High School in 1950.
After graduation he moved to Kansas City, KS and worked for Curry Investment Company. He married, Rona White, the love of his life, on September 9, 1961. They had two daughters, Brenda and Gayle.
They moved to Independence, KS in 1969 where Max went to work for Automotive Controls Corp, (now Standard Motor Products). He retired as a Quality Tech in May, 1995. After his retirement, Max and Rona moved to Rogers AR.
Max was an avid wood worker and loved his computer. They also loved to travel. He was actively involved in his church, New Hope Holiness Church, and the Adult Wellness Center. Max did not know a stranger and had many friends.
Max is survived by his wife, Rona; two children, Brenda Welch (Kevin), El Dorado, KS, Gayle Chapman (Mike), Independence, KS. Six grandchildren, Tyler Willis (Paige), Edmond, OK; Hilary Chapman, Independence, KS; Zach Willis (Lauren), Merriam, KS; Taylor Lewallen (Jake), Olathe, KS; Katy Chapman, Tahlequah, OK; Maddox Welch, Lawrence, KS. Seven great-grandchildren; Ethan and Quinnlynn Suppes, Easton and Jillian Willis, Janie and Jack Willis, and Evan Lewallen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alice Davolt, one sister, Lorene Blair, one brother, Robert Davolt.
Max will be laid to rest at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers, AR.
A celebration of life will be held at a later scheduled date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Circle of Life Hospice, link below.
