Meredieth Ann “Peggy” Trent Nichols, 88, of Rogers, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born August 24, 1934 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late John and Lillie (Pattishall) Trent. Peggy married the love of her life, Loren Neil Nichols, sharing many years of life and memories until Loren passed away on May 22, 1993.
Peggy graduated from Bentonville High School and, during her early years, she worked at Munsingwear before embarking on a 23 year career in the Walmart Corporate Office, from which she retired.
She was a long-time member of First Christian Church in Bentonville, AR.
Peggy's passing will leave a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Peggy has many nieces and nephews with numerous friends who will greatly miss her.
Mrs Nichols was kind, good-natured and dearly loved her family. She loved to read, travel, crochet and watch all sports including the Hogs. She shared her love of volunteer work at Narti Cancer Center. Peggy loved to bake, cook, and share with her friends, neighbors and family. Serving the Lord in various capacities in church was an integral part of her life.
Services will be Thursday, June 29, with Visitation from 12:00noon – 2:00 PM and her Funeral service beginning at 2:00pm, all in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Interment will follow in Benton County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Lynn Crawford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Allen, Herschell Beatty, Joe Kennedy, Haskell Nichols, Meredieth Smith and Johnny Wayne Trent.
