Michael Dean Davis, 57, of Centerton, Arkansas, passed away on September 3, 2025. Michael was affectionately known as "Doc" to his granddaughters and friends. He was born on April 17, 1968, in Rogers, Arkansas, to Kenneth Davis and Faye (Guyll) Davis.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roland and Edna Davis, and Virgil Guyll and Goldie Kissinger.
He is survived by his loving parents; his wife, Ruby Poole; his daughter, Morgan Alexandra (Jonathan); two granddaughters, Scout and Luna; his former wife and the mother of his child, Vanessa; his brother, Kenny “Brian” Davis (Angela); niece, Isabella Davis; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A 1986 graduate of Rogers High School, Michael proudly served his country for six years in the United States Air Force stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs as a medical laboratory specialist. He was most recently employed as a medical technologist at Highland’s Oncology in Rogers and he previously supervised the labs at both Northwest Medical Center and Mercy. He was hard working and extremely dedicated to his profession. He was respected, admired and loved by his coworkers. He had a way of bringing everyone together in the workplace.
Michael was an intelligent, genuine and kind man and was a shining light to all that had the privilege of knowing him. His pride and joys were his beautiful daughter, Morgan, and his granddaughters, Scout and Luna. He was so very proud of his daughter, her personal and professional accomplishments, and loved seeing her grow up to be a kind and genuine person and a wonderful mother to her daughters. He and Morgan enjoyed sharing their philosophies, viewpoints and their similar sense of humor. Their special times were spent watching movies together and just hanging out laughing and talking about life.
Michael was Ruby’s soulmate, best friend, and devoted partner for 23 years. He was her protector and constant companion, and together they shared a rare and beautiful bond. She fell in love with him not only for his kindness and strength, but also for the love and devotion he showed as a father to his young daughter, Morgan. The three of them often enjoyed going to the movies, Barnes & Noble and they shared a memorable road trip to Florida. Michael & Ruby also enjoyed several road trips together exploring the western US. Their happiest times were often quiet times at home with their pets, a loyal dog named Oscar and a sweet cat named Pepper, while holding close the memory of their beloved dog Ozzie. Michael and Ruby shared a love of music and spent many evenings listening to their favorite playlists, talking and laughing.
Michael had many friends from high school and from his time playing softball on the Bandits softball team as lucky number thirteen. He and his best buddies continued to enjoy playing golf and hanging out throughout the years. Michael competed in the Pea Ridge Golf Classic for several years in a row.
Michael was a big sports fan. He loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys as an unwavering fan of both teams. He enjoyed watching annual golf tournaments such as The Masters, the U.S. Open, The Open Championship, and the PGA Championship—as well as The Ryder Cup and more. He also enjoyed watching the LA Dodgers, The Tour De France, International football (soccer) leagues, the Olympics and many other sporting events.
He enjoyed reading and listening to podcasts, and he was especially interested in topics such as fiction, history, astronomy, science, philosophy, physics, comedy and more. Michael had a lifelong love of film, especially classic movies such as 12 Angry Men and To Kill a Mockingbird. He delighted in sharing that passion with his daughter, Morgan. They shared favorites like Indiana Jones, the Harry Potter series, Clue, Silence of the Lambs, Star Wars, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Sinners, Monty Python films, and many more. Together, they often exchanged movie references and quotes, a shared language that reflected their close bond. Michael’s love of movies spoke to his vivid imagination, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor.
Michael’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and generosity. He will be remembered as a remarkable man, whose honesty and reliability were as constant as his warmth, humor, and compassion—leaving a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him, both personally and professionally.
