Nell Marie Gamble Buck

Nell Marie Bohannon Gamble Buck of Rogers, AR passed away peacefully in her home at Morada Senior Living on April 29, 2023. She was born in Apalachicola, FL on January 2, 1925 to William Bohannon and Marie Mitchell Bohannon. Nell married JL Gamble of Arkansas and served as a nurse for over 30 years while raising their son, Gene.

She enjoyed friends and events at her local VFW, dancing, going to the casino and movies, as well as, vacationing in Branson, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Monroe Howard, Woodrow Bly, D. Mozell and David Franklin (Frank); and her husbands, JL Gamble and Virgil Buck, both wounded World War II veterans, whom she cared for until their passings.

She is survived by her son, Eugene Bly Gamble; granddaughters; Laura Marie Carlson (Marc) and Melinda Sue Russell (Lawrence); four great-grandchildren, Michaela, Kurt, Ryan, and Jessica; as well as, many other relatives and friends.

Nell Gamble Buck will be laid to rest at the Ft. Leavenworth Kansas National Cemetery.
