Owen R Clardy

Owen R. Clardy, 74, died December 28, 2012 in Springdale. He was born in Lowell, Arkansas on June 11, 1938 to the late Ray and Eula Belle (Owen) Clardy. He served in the Air Force and Army. He retired from Walmart, Location # 6008, at age 72 in 2010 Owen was a good Christian man who loved teaching Sunday school at the Unity Missionary Baptist Church and also held leadership positions in the church. He was proud to be a father and grandfather to his family for 41 years. Owen is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine (Mattes) Clardy of Bentonville; sons, Fred Clardy of Garfield, Jeffrey Clardy of Fayetteville, Johnathon Clardy of Rogers, Stephan Clardy of Boonville; daughter, Kimberly Brunelle of CT; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Clardy. His funeral will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 10:30am in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. He will be buried at Rogers City Cemetery. I worked with Owen at Wal Mart when I was still a kid in high school. He was nice fellow to be around and a hard worker.

Oh what to say of Owen. He was full of Love, caring, wisdom and sense of humor. Oh I how loved him. We were not only friends but christain family. Chris and the children will be in our prayers. If there is anything that Jerry and I can do, please call us.
