She was born on September 8, 1940, in Indiana, where she grew up as the daughter of Leon and Gladys Rogers. Throughout her life, she remained deeply devoted to her family, becoming known for her strength and compassionate nature.
Her spiritual life was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her as a dedicated member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She found immense peace in attending Mass and particularly delighted in the melodies of the children’s choir during school services, a simple pleasure that brought her great joy.
Patricia worked as a nurse, a vocation she found deeply fulfilling. Her career was a true reflection of her caring heart, and she took great pride in providing comfort and aid to her patients throughout her professional years.
She was actively involved in bridge, tennis, and pickleball, cherishing the laughter and friendship shared with others. Whether she was on the court or at a card table, she brought warmth to every gathering. Her friends were an important part of her daily life.
She is survived by her four children: Rebecca (Dan) Nye, Edward (Judy) Riester, Philip (Christine) Riester, and Teresa (Greg) Sanders.
Patricia was a proud grandmother to Andy, Matthew, Chase, Payton, Samuel, Johnathan, Aaron, and Sean. She was further blessed with two great-grandchildren, Evelyn Ann Sanders and Gabriel Ramirez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Gladys Rogers; her brothers, Charles and James Rogers; and her husband, Joseph Leo Riester and Jim Matthew.
Her legacy of love and dedication will live on through her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Every moment spent with her family was a treasure she held dear.
She will be profoundly missed by her friends and all who were privileged to know her. Her family will lovingly carry her memory forward in their hearts.

Remaining forever in our hearts, she leaves a family who will always honor the beautiful life she led.
Teresa and Greg would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Patricia’s caregivers, Mary Edwards, Bobbi Duryee, and Shannon Dodson, for the extraordinary love, compassion, and care they provided during the last four and a half years of her battle with a devastating disease. Their kindness, patience, and devotion brought comfort and dignity to Patricia and were a tremendous blessing to her family.
