Peggie Jane Yates, 88, of Rogers passed away Saturday, April 12 at a Bentonville nursing home. She was born January 14, 1926 to the late Charles “Jack” and Lillian Maples Anderson in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a lifelong resident of the Rogers-Bentonville area whose love of music allowed her to perform and direct choirs in Baptist churches throughout the area. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville. For more than 50 years she was the loving wife of Dale Yates who, along with her parents, preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Sam (Mitzi) Yates and Elaine Yates of Rogers; Grandchildren, Samantha (Josh) Burton of Oklahoma and Ben (Kelly) Yates of Lowell and a great-grandson, Asher Burton.
A graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 16 at Bentonville Cemetery.
