Ron worked for Wal-Mart ISD from which he retired. When Crystal Bridges opened, he decided to come out of retirement to work security there.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Frey; children, Adam Frey and wife Jessica of Bloomington, Minn., Angela Frey and Corey Erickson of St. Paul, Minn., Scott Frey and wife Grace of Jenks, Okla.; a sister, Chris Anderson of Blaine, Minn.; and grandchildren, Liam, Gavin and Zane.
Memorial services will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lions Club International.
