Sherry Lynn Rominger

Born on August 10, 1953, in Salem, Missouri, Sherry lived a life marked by unwavering faith, genuine kindness, and wholehearted devotion to her family and those around her.

Growing up in Missouri, Sherry embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She was an accomplished volleyball player throughout her junior high and high school years, loved participating in school musicals and plays, and had a creative spirit that shined through her talent for arts and crafts. A proud tomboy, she spent much of her childhood following her beloved brother, Jim, on countless adventures. Her intelligence and determination were evident early in life, earning her the honor of class salutatorian.

Sherry continued her education by earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and later graduated from Rhema Bible Training College, where her love for God’s Word and passion for ministry deepened. Throughout her life, she faithfully used those gifts to encourage, teach, and serve others.

As a devoted homemaker, Sherry understood that the greatest work often happens quietly within the walls of a loving home. She poured herself into caring for her family, creating a place filled with warmth, grace, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy was found in investing in the people God placed in her life.

Her faith was the foundation of everything she did. Sherry faithfully served her church and community by singing in the choir, teaching Vacation Bible School and children’s church, and ministering to women in prison. She gave generously of her time, resources, and compassion, reflecting Christ through both her words and her actions. Those who knew her witnessed a woman whose life truly embodied the virtues of Proverbs 31 and the fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians. Her kindness, patience, gentleness, and steadfast love left an imprint on countless lives.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Howard Nash, and her mother, Wilma Muriel Jackson. She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband, Wayne Rominger of Rogers, Arkansas; her daughters, Michelle Hiatt of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Olivia Haynes of Rogers, Arkansas; her cherished grandchildren, Chloe Haynes of Lowell, Arkansas, Madison Haynes of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Asher Haynes of Rogers, Arkansas; as well as her brother, Jim Nash of Bunker, Missouri, and her sister, Kimberly Sutton of Saint Robert, Missouri. They, along with many extended family members and dear friends, will forever treasure the gift of having known and loved her.

Although her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in knowing that Sherry’s faith has become sight. Her legacy is not only found in the memories she leaves behind but in the countless lives she influenced through her compassion, generosity, servant’s heart, and unwavering trust in the Lord. She taught others what it meant to love deeply, give freely, and walk humbly with God.

In honor of Sherry’s love for autumn and its beautiful colors, the family invites those attending her services to wear fall colors as a celebration of the warmth, beauty, and joy she brought into the lives of so many.
