Virgie “Pauline” Howard, 85, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 surrounded with love from all of her children, family and friends.
She was born August 25, 1939 in Deer, Arkansas to the late John Nolis & Augusta Cyrene (Smith) Faught. She was the eldest of 12 children.
Pauline had many achievements in her lifetime. One was that she obtained her GED at the age of 40, and went on to have a career as a book keeper/tax advisor for the next 35 years. When asked recently what she was most proud of, she replied, "Raising a great family, and having a very strong marriage. "
Her and her late husband enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing with family and friends to pass time. She was also a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and carried her faith strongly until the end.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Harold L. Howard, Sr, four children Tammy, Barbara, Barry and Larry Howard, 1 sister and 1 brother.
Survivors include her children Terry Howard of Rogers, Dana Roth and her husband Jeff of Centerton, H. Lynn Howard, Jr and his wife Shannon of Ft Smith and Tanya Riebel and her husband Eddie of Rogers; grandchildren Chris Howard, Cory Howard, Haley Anderson, Meghan Handley, Whitney Jones, Katie Howard, Jordan Riebel and Avery Riebel; 14 great grandchildren and 9 surviving brothers and sisters.
We will be gathering Sept 13th 2025 at 405 W Central Ave. Bentonville, AR to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry, and remember this wonderful person, who will be missed but never forgotten.
Friends of the family are invited to stop by and pay their respects between 12:30 pm and 3 pm, should you and/or your family wish to attend. After 3pm we will be having a private gathering for family only.
Parking is limited. Parking in the alley is strictly prohibited. Cars parked there will be towed at the owners expense. There is parking at the Lutheran church across the street and at the parking garage a few blocks away if additional parking is needed.
