Wilma Wescott Avery

She is survived by her children: Bob (Nina), Pam (Chuck), Bill (Madeline), and Patti (Hudson). She loved her 33 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and longed to have met her great, great grandchild.

She is also survived by her sisters Velma Reed and Phyllis Reed of Vermont. She was predeceased by her sister, Pauline Dennis and her brother, Charles Wescott. Wilma lived in Vermont for the first 16 years of her life. She left to attend and graduate from UMASS in 1949. From there she went to work at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden in NYC where she met the father of her children. Together they settled in NJ where she lived for the next 55 years and was active in the Absecon United Methodist Church and Cross Keys United Methodist Church.

The last 13 years of her life she enjoyed visiting her family in Vermont and New Jersey, and living with her daughter and family in Arkansas.

She loved being outside, gardening, sitting on her porch looking at flowers, watching the birds, eating at restaurants, singing in church, and vacationing with family.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Village Bible Church, 1591 Forest Hills Boulevard, Bella Vista, AR 72715 and sometime at a later date in New Jersey or Vermont.
