
Mr. Brown was born in Ozark, Alabama on April 6, 1975, son of Rev. Woody and Miriam Brown, grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luke Wilkerson of Clio, Alabama and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Brown of Blue Springs, Alabama. He attended Lakeside School in Eufaula, Alabama, and the University of Alabama. Mr. Brown was the co-founder and former CEO of the Chicken Salad Chick franchise. Most recently, he established and served as President of the Board of Directors of the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation, which is dedicated to raising funds for cancer research and feeding the hungry. He and his family attended Auburn United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy Melton Brown, and his daughter, Olivia Brown as well as step-children, Carson, Jack and Lydia Evans. He is also survived by his parents, Woody and Miriam Brown of Eufaula, Alabama; his brother Scott Brown of Tampa, Florida; and two nieces, Chloe and Parker Brown.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 pm CST, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Auburn United Methodist Church, Auburn, Alabama. Dr. Ken Bush of Mr. Brown’s hometown church, First Baptist Church of Eufaula, and Dr. George Mathison of Auburn United Methodist officiated. The family received friends following the service.
