Betty Baker Paxton

Mrs. Paxton was born December 23, 1928, in Deland FL, the daughter of the late Fitzhaugh Lee Baker and Mary Zelma Myers Baker. She was retired from Southern Bell and was of the Church of Christ faith. Mrs. Paxton was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Thomas E. Nichols on January 16, 1983 and by her second husband Mr. Frank Paxton on May 16, 2008.; one son Thomas Stephen Nichols ;one brother ,Richard Baker; three sisters, Evelyn Hicks, Ovita Poole and Helen Johnson.; one son-in-law John Grant.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Dana Nichols Baker and her husband Michael of Dawsonville, GA. and Jenny Nichols Grant, of Rome, GA.; one brother, Wayne Baker and his wife Linda of Damascus VA; three grandchildren Brandon Ross and his wife Melissa of Atlanta, Nick Baker and Drew Baker both of Dawsonville, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Paxton will be held on Saturday, December, 31, 2011 at 2 P.M. in the Thomas B. Griffin Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Daniel’s Funeral Home from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 31, 2011.

Those serving as Pallbearers are Brandon Ross, Mike Baker, Nick Baker, Drew Baker, David Johnson and Rusty Floyd.

Daniel’s Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
