Dr. Bader was born April 12, 1932. He was the son of the late Isador Bader and Libby Fader Bader. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York where he attended New York City College. After joining and serving in the Air Force he attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL where he obtained his undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry. He received his medical doctor degree from the University of Miami Medical School in Coral Gables, FL. His internship and residency in neurology were completed at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. He practiced neurology in Miami, FL, Ft. Walton beach FL, Redmond Regional Medical Center, Rome, GA, and Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. He was board certified in neurology. He was a life time member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Bader’s three loves in life were his family, the practice of medicine and caring for his patients. He had a great love for reading and learning. He was deeply loved by his wife children, friends and co-workers. He will be greatly missed by them, and the medical community. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Berry College.
Survivors include his wife Linda Joy Scheinbaum Bader to whom he was married on April 8, 1973, three sons; Seth Bader and his wife Alli of Atlanta, Adam Bader of Miramar Beach FL, and Noah Bader and his wife Madeline of Atlanta, GA, one granddaughter; Valentina Paloma Bader, and one brother; Sam Bader and his wife Shirley of Miami, FL. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Services for Dr. Bader will be held Tuesday morning, November 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd., Atlanta, GA. 30318. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be made to the Rodeph Sholom Congregation 401 East 1st Street Rome, GA. 30161.
